Petals & Leaves Florist is excited to join the blogging community! There is so much going on around our two Columbus, Ohio shop locations, and we are just tickled to share a real-life look into the day to day at P+L, and connect with our readers and customers on a new level! The Floral Design and Wedding Industries are constantly changing, and we believe that a strong focus on knowledge, skills, creativity, and good design are what sets us apart as professionals and as a small business. At P+L we strive to promote a thriving “creative culture” where brainstorming and inspiring each other in the design process are just the way we do things. “I am the owner, manager, designer, delivery person, and heck, head bucket washer just depending on the day! And I love every minute of it! I started this business in 1997 with a passion for good design and out of the box creativity, and have worked hard to see it succeed. I am a wife and mother of six wonderful children, so craziness is pretty much just another day in the life for me! As I see how our business has grown into two locations,  in Grandview and Powell, as well as new additions to our design team, I am constantly inspired by what is actually possible, and that’s pretty much anything!”

“Hi I’m Meghan Greek!”

“As the Weddings and Events Manager at P+L I absolutely love seeing a vision come to life! My days at the shop are FULL of conceptualizing and quoting events, meeting with couples and planners, and hand-crafting beautiful bouquets. Creating a one-of-a-kind event experience is all about the details, and I’m kind of a goddess at those! Using my skills, organizational awesomeness, and a lot of resourceful creativity to orchestrate the perfect day for a bride will never get old to me; so I will be sharing lots of fun wedding inspiration features, how to’s and tips, as well as trend forecasts and interesting ideas that inspire me and I know will inspire you!

“Hi I’m Sarah Shaffer”

“I am a Floral Artist and Social Media Manager at Petals & Leaves, so I really get to experience a little bit of every aspect of the day-to- day activities at P+L. I can be found doing any number of things from designing daily delivery arrangements,, to working with interior designers for permanent botanicals to taking photos for the “gram”. I get to do a little of it all and I could not be more thrilled. The thriving “atmosphere of creativity” at P+L is something amazing, and I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you! I want to provide a window into our shop & industry with posts about trends in floral and interior design, tutorials and how-to’s for plants and flowers, horticultural facts and grower features. There is also a soft spot in my heart for “designing like you give a damn” so you will see lots of ways that designers are using their craft to make our world a better place!”
